Buma village is located between marama and in hawul local government area and Shani town in Shani local government area;by the side of the great hawul river. It was formally the town of the kanakuru ethnic group but in recent years the kanakuru tribe has been assimilated by the bura ethnic group who's language is now generally spoken.
