Links/list of organizations, faith communities, and town government

[edit]

Before I revert an edit, why is it wrong to list and link these? Is it the links? Is it the list? Should they be rewritten as prose? Thanks

History

[edit]

I wonder about the section describing Littleton as a dry town. Either the "late 1980s" date for DEC is wrong or the statement is wrong or my memory is. I believe that there were at least two bars in Littleton circa 1973. One is the current (2013) Chip Shots on Ayer Rd., the other was on Rt. 2A on the opposite side from Bonzai West. That building was since renovated and turned ninety-degrees. One of these places was called the Piccadilly Pub. --IPBiographer (talk) 17:54, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That's not the worst of it. The article is full of factoids of questionable veracity, original research, and pointless trivia. A major nonsensectomy is in order. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.19.202.42 (talk) 01:13, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
no, it was a dry town. Chip shots wasn't until late 80s like the restaurant a Ross from IBM/DEC building. Dominic's and the Chantilly were just over town line. Dom's on Westford line and Chantilly on Acton. Kenny Johnson and EddieI and Barbara Byrne were only package store liquor license holders starting circa 1960. Herpy of Herpy's Dairy who had put in the two swimming pools for the town's use said he would shut down his dairy and pools if town ever gave liquor license. It was a process that took a few years but the pools and dairy were gone by 1969-1970. His daughter is on Historical Commission or Society. That story was in one of the papers published for the 300th Anniversary in 2014. I am a native to Littleton. Boo Boo (talk) 21:20, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
