Why is this not editable to discuss her recent controversy?
[edit]She's been the subject of a very newsworthy controversial issue in Portland. I believe that this information belongs on her page and can be presented in an objective unbiased manner that conforms to Wikipedia standards. It is NOT incidental, trivial information about her.

Lois Leveen's radical leftist activism
[edit]Documentation of Leveen's far-left extremist political activism should be added to the article. She believes that the movie Kindergarten Cop is somehow "offensive" and "racist" because it portrays an undercover police officer (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger) in a positive light, and she led a harassment campaign on the far-left social media site Twitter against a theater in Portland, Oregon, to cancel its screening of the harmless comedy film. She even went so far as to compare Kindergarten Cop and Gone With the Wind to Birth of a Nation and smeared Gone With the Wind as "racist" as well. [1].
I also question the use of the terms "historian" and "educator" to describe her. She has written a few children's historical-fiction novels. Does she have a PhD in History? Has she been employed as a teacher or professor, or was she just a temporary instructor (i.e., graduate student) who taught some seminars in order to fulfill some requirements in graduate school for a potential master's degree? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.160.150.177 (talk) 01:49, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
Cleanup of article done
[edit]This article was created by WP:SPA account User:Chuckgbarnes, and has had a "cleanup, please" tag for 9 years. I removed all the original research, primary sources, and promotions from the article. There were dozens of links to primary sources (things Leveen wrote), which I removed. Are there ANY RS secondary sources about Leveen? There are a few about her writings (mostly sales or publicist type content for selling her two books), and a few bios (primary sources since most bios are written by the person), but nothing covering Leveen as a topic.
Whoever was writing this piece was scraping the bottom of the barrel to come up with things to put in this article, but it was all promotional or ridiculously mundane (like playing the accordion). I don't know who Leveen is, but this article... trimmed per wiki guidelines... doesn't have much left to say. A WP:BEFORE search doesn't turn up anything further besides some recent scandal about a showing of Kindergarten Cop, which doesn't really contribute to someone being WP:Notable. Considering the enormous length of Leveen's CV and career, it is shocking that I can find nothing written about her. Hence, I am going to submit this article for deletion on the basis of not notable.
The same single-purpose account user introduced Lois Leveen content into the article Mary Bowser starting on 2012-06-04 and continuing through 2020-07-27. Someone who knows something about the Bowser topic should probably clean up that article, too. The SPA user's contribution history has ONLY edits related to Leveen. I'll look at a few of those other edits and probably revert them since a quick check shows some of them are simply promotional.
