Is it really necessary to use Lou Pearlman's mugshot as the main image?

[edit]

As in the title. It doesn't seem right to use a photo of someone at their lower or lowest point as the main photo in their biography. Anetherion (talk) 21:00, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Anetherion I had dinner with the guy (and his entourage) at Talent Rock, December, 2006. about a thousand people there. talked to many of them. Right around the the time the lawsuits AND criminal charges coming to bear. picture perfectly represents the scum bag: balloon company scam; boyband rip offs; even the Talent Rock scams.
Leave the picture as is!

People are only looking him up for the same reasons he was in that mugshot, so why try and sweep it under the rug?! He's lucky he met his maker then because the jig is up for all his old cronies now. Maybe if he did something good actually besides be a greedy fat pedo POS, you might have a hill to stand on! 2601:147:4781:5490:91EC:566E:41F7:9B0C (talk) 11:53, 13 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you can find another public use pic of the man, go ahead an replace it, remember that copyright issues apply and mug shots are public use photos. RomanGrandpa (talk) 14:46, 12 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Insurance Fraud

[edit]

The article states:

"Returning to the U.S., Pearlman formed Airship Enterprises Ltd, which leased a blimp to Jordache before actually owning one. He used the funds from Jordache to construct a blimp, which promptly crashed. The two parties sued each other, and seven years later Pearlman was awarded $2.5 million in damages."

Not Jordache and Pearlman sued each other. Pearlman had insured the $10,000 blimp for multiple millions likely with the help of a school friend that worked at an insurance company. The contract had so many holes that the insurance company lost and Pearlman got the money. 2003:EB:CF40:9F84:6DC8:64F1:9CDE:BC2C (talk) 18:27, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

San Francisco's labor commissioner

[edit]

San Francisco's labor commissioner declared Options/TCT/WSN in violation of California law, and several state agencies were reported to be investigating the company.
