The result of the move request was: NO CONSENSUS. Opposers say that a subtitle is not part of the title, while supporters of a move cannot agree on a new target. —Bagumba (talk) 09:05, 27 August 2019 (UTC)
Luis Miguel (TV series) → Luis Miguel: The Series – WP:COMMONNAME. The name in English sources is "Luis Miguel: The Series" and in Spanish sources it's "Luis Miguel: La Serie". The title is not just "Luis Miguel". 2A02:C7F:4637:9200:A481:EC2:4CA8:C163 (talk) 22:45, 3 August 2019 (UTC) --Relisting. Dicklyon (talk) 01:52, 12 August 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose: In the official Netflix site only appears as "Luis Miguel". "The Series" is more like a subtitle. Also, nowhere in the title do you see two points, in other places it appears as "Luis Miguel, la serie", so why should we take into account the two points and not the comma or the script that appears before the name as for example here.-- · Bradford ✉ 23:58, 3 August 2019 (UTC)
- "The Series" is indeed a subtitle, but it's still part of the title. We can discuss what punctuation to use, but that's not really the argument here. A dash, a comma, and a colon or all used in multiple sources, so any of those work for me. 2A02:C7F:4637:9200:81EC:620C:45A2:1219 (talk) 00:23, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose: The title of the page should stay the same. It should not be moved. "The Series" seems to be a subtitle.—Telenovelafan215 (talk) 04:23, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
- Again: yes, it is a subtitle, just like Deadwood: The Movie, From Dusk till Dawn: The Series, Tangled: The Series, Big Hero 6: The Series, Transporter: The Series, Friday the 13th: The Series and many more. It's part of the title. 2A02:C7F:4637:9200:7032:BBB4:93FB:F970 (talk) 09:49, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
- The problem here is that no page writes the title as "Luis Miguel: The Series" or "Luis Miguel: La Serie".-- · Bradford ✉ 12:14, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
- What are you talking about? Many do. It's literally the most used title and the official title. 2A02:C7F:4637:9200:7032:BBB4:93FB:F970 (talk) 18:42, 4 August 2019 (UTC)

- Comment – It looks to me like "Luis Miguel, the Series" may be more common. Has that been considered? Dicklyon (talk) 01:51, 12 August 2019 (UTC)
- As I mentioned above, I don't care how we decide to punctuate it, as long as we agree that "The Series" is more common (and is clearly an actual part of the title). 2A02:C7F:4637:9200:D055:AFF5:AB25:2760 (talk) 16:12, 12 August 2019 (UTC)
- Comment—I decided to take a look at available sources where name prevelance might be ascertained. Looks like it's all over the board, no definitive value. If I personally were to pick a value, it would either be the Billboard article value, or that from Forbes, where the author states "I’m an expert in the Hispanic media industry." --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 02:42, 12 August 2019 (UTC)

- Forbes article: Luis Miguel La Serie will be available on Netflix in Latin America and Spain the same day with only one episode dropped each Sunday, not the usual norm for the streaming service, which usually delivers all episodes of a show's entire season at once.
- ...all of which supports my argument that the WP:COMMONNAME in most English-language sources includes The Series rather than La Serie. 2A02:C7F:4637:9200:D055:AFF5:AB25:2760 (talk) 16:08, 12 August 2019 (UTC)
- That is not quite what the example set shows. It shows that some English sources have chosen 'the series' and others 'la serie' (or variants of each). I'm particularly drawn to the Billboard example, as I've generally considered this outlet to provide definitive entertainment information when the author is an identified staff member with a specified role in the organization. --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 04:04, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
- Billboard is no more reliable than any other reliable source, and the vast majority of English-language sources use "the series". Billboard offers both. 2A02:C7F:4637:9200:DD27:5FCF:E82C:6CF0 (talk) 20:54, 23 August 2019 (UTC)

- Oppose. Can argue this both ways, but disagree that a subtitle is part of the title. It might be seen as a natural disambiguation, but it's a confusing one. Best left as is IMO. Andrewa (talk) 11:38, 19 August 2019 (UTC)
- You can't disagree with facts, Andrewa. It's part of the title, just like the examples given above, and all the many other titles that have subtitles, such as Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, Playmobil: The Movie, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, etc. A subtitle being part of a title is not up for debate - it's a fact. 2A02:C7F:4637:9200:106E:B601:FDE1:D07B (talk) 21:31, 20 August 2019 (UTC)
- No, it's an interpretation of the facts. And that's a fact, and it's sad when people can't tell the difference between facts and their opinions. But you can disagree with all of that. And that's a fact too. Andrewa (talk) 02:19, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
- Are you suggesting that my examples are open to interpretation? (they are not - we're talking facts here). I haven't offered an opinion at any point. I've cited the relevant policy and offered facts. 2A02:C7F:4637:9200:DD27:5FCF:E82C:6CF0 (talk) 20:54, 23 August 2019 (UTC)

- Thanks for seeing the light, · Bradford! I was just about to post a better evidenced move request, but no need now. 2A02:C7F:4637:9200:6457:EF79:603:34F (talk) 23:08, 11 September 2019 (UTC)
