Merge suggestion

[edit]

I suggest merging any and all articles about villages in Ma'ale Iron into this article. I don't believe we need several stubs which represent a single small town. There are similar precedents for merged towns, both Jewish and Arab, like Modi'in, Yehud-Monosson, Ka'abiyye-Tabbash-Hajajre, etc. —Ynhockey (Talk) 09:36, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Agree, a redirect should suffice. We could provide information about the various villages in separate subsections like we did with Shaghur. --Al Ameer son (talk) 15:53, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. Zerotalk 16:28, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

History

[edit]

It is going to be a nightmare writing the history of this place. We need to start a place, lets start by collecting sources here. The one that could possibly need its own article is Salim, Cheers, Huldra (talk) 21:16, 11 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

How on earth are we going to organise this? Huldra (talk) 22:50, 11 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Some simple information, such as the population data from 1596, 1922, 1931, 1945 and later (I can provide 1949) can be presented as a table perhaps? Zerotalk 23:38, 11 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The approximate coords are 166/217. Zerotalk 00:26, 12 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds sensible. However, first of all we need to make sure which villages actually goes into Ma'ale Iron, i.e. confirmation that Al-Murtafi'a is included. And do you know how we could get a copy of HA-ESI 110 (for Zalafa)? Cheers, Huldra (talk) 20:22, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I will have it soon. Zerotalk 23:26, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A couple of points,

[edit]
  • Al-Murtafi'a presently redirects here...should it? Should we make it an article?
  • I propose that we remove the "Bibliography"-section, and the Pal.rem -sites which presently are in the articles. Any objections? Huldra (talk) 21:11, 7 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Al-Murtafi'a is a neighborhood of Zalafa. Information should be Zalafa's article, there's no need to an article of it self. Al-Murtafi'a should redirect to Zalafa just in case one day in the future someone will link it. It was under Umm el-Fahm's municipal boundaries in the past.
  • No objection.--Bolter21 (talk to me) 21:48, 7 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, then Zalafa should be expanded with all the Al-Murtafi'a stuff, mentioned above, Huldra (talk) 22:02, 7 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
