Maewa Kaihau

... that New Zealand composer Maewa Kaihau (pictured) sold her rights to the song "Now is the Hour" for £10, a decade before it became a hit in the United Kingdom and United States? Source: [1] is the source for the 1935 sale of the rights for £10; [2] [3] are sources for the overseas success of the song in the 1940s.

Comment (no review): any aspect of a subject that appears on DYK must also be included in the article about that subject. In this case, the hook fact must be added to the article (or a different hook proposed), and the image either added to the article or removed from this nomination. In my opinion, the image is fine as is for DYK. Mind matrix 14:55, 22 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Mindmatrix: thanks for taking a look! Just to clarify, do you mean that the hook & image need to be added to "Now Is the Hour (song)" as well? They're already in Maewa Kaihau which is the article that I'm looking to nominate (at least, the image definitely is and I think the hook is).
