I will start the review of this article and will do minor fixes myself while reading through. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 17:16, 23 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • No disambiguation links found.
  • No likely copyvio from the Earwig's tool.
  • All external links working.
  • All 8 images properly licensed in Commons.
  • Although the Tandava image doesn't really look that vigorous. Any other option to substitute it?
    • Added another image - NVV
  • WP:INDICSCRIPT not followed. The Devanagri script from lead should be removed, probably replaced with IPA. Well.. IPA is not compulsory.
    • Removed Devanagri script in the lead - NVV
  • "The five sub-books are suffixed as Viṁśati..." --> "The work is divided into five sub-books suffixed as Viṁśati..."
    • Done
  • Does "Dakshinamurti" refer to Dakshinamurthy? If yes then wikilink it. If not, then please write some introduction about it.
  • "and the third king in this dynasty who was named after Shiva" This seems irrelevant there. Do you wanna link it to the prorogation of Shaivism that Kalyani Chalukya dynasty did? It should then be rephrased or placed besides some other context.
    • Deleted part of the sentence. - NVV
  • "The number of ślokas in this work is" --> "The number of ślokas in this work are"
    • Done
  • What exactly is the name of 3rd section? Bharturupabhigakarana or Upabhogasya?
    • It is Upabhogasya as given in the table
      • In that case the prose mentions it to be Bharturupabhigakarana. Fix this discrepancy. If both names are present then mention them both.

More to come and sorry @Ms Sarah Welch and Nvvchar: to keep you waiting these many days. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 09:16, 3 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Nvvchar: I am okay with your corrections. @Dharmadhyaksha: I can't find a better MOS:IMAGE compliant, better quality Tandava img. If someone uploads a better img, we should change it indeed. I changed @Nvvchar's img file edit because two Tandava images neither illustrate the article nor were consistent with the caption. We need a Lasya (or Visama or Laghu image) to show the diversity of dance categories discussed in the Manasollasa text. Ms Sarah Welch (talk) 12:12, 13 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • The image issue was not much grave one. It was just a suggestion. But if you are replacing Lasya with Kathak then do alter the caption as well.
  • Just like the main title of the book, all the sub-books' names shall also be in italics whenever mentioned throughout the article including subheadings.
    • Done
  • These sub-books are mentioned sometimes as "ABCkarana" and "ABC[space]karana". Maintain uniformity.
  • "The second sub-book Rajyasya Sthairyakaraṇa Vimshati is dedicated to governance and economic matters that asserts the text, helps the king retain the kingdom" ---> "The second sub-book Rajyasya Sthairyakaraṇa Vimshati is dedicated to governance and economic matters that asserts to help the king retain the kingdom"
    • Done
  • Senapati can be wikilinked to Senapati.
  • "The chapter 2.8 of the text, states J Duncan M Derrett, a professor of Oriental Laws, discusses..." ---> "J Duncan M Derrett, a professor of Oriental Laws, states that chapter 2.8 of the text discusses..."
    • Done
  • Does "Oriental Laws" mean Oriental canon law? Wikilink it.
    • Done
  • "tax collected at port of entry" can be wikilinked to Customs.
    • Done
  • Wikilink Mary Ellen Snodgrass.
    • Done
  • "cookbook writing history" can be wikilinked to Cookbook#History.
    • Done
  • Wikilink Amrita.
    • Done
  • Wikilink Triphala.
    • Done
  • Wikilink champaka to Magnolia champaca.
    • Done
