Total number

In the 17th century the population of the Manchu people was approximately 500,000. Current population of them is estimated to be 10,000,000. The population increased nearly 20 times?!? It's impossible that their population increased geometrically despite numerous wars, assimilation, repressions and harsh conditions!!! Total number of them still uncertain. A half of them genetically same with Han Chinese. Is there any data about the demographic history of Tungusic people? How many Manchus were in 1910? Total number of Manchu population of Manchukuo uncertain: Manchukuo#Demographics "In early 1934, the total population of Manchukuo was estimated as 30,880,000. These numbers included 29,510,000 Chinese (96%, which should have included the Manchurian population)". One-child_policy#Current_status" "non-Han ethnic groups are subjected to different laws and are usually allowed to have two children in urban areas, and three or four in rural areas". Where do live most of them? In rural areas or in cities?

If you actually read the article and the sources, you would notice that Han Bannermen and Mongol Bannermen are allowed to classify themselves as Manchu under Chinese law, not just ethnic Manchu Bannermen.Rajmaan (talk) 17:11, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
