@Epicgenius: taking this review. This is my second GA review in a while so thought this would be a nice start. 750h+ 08:36, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
prose
[edit]- lead
- The building is a New York City designated landmark. correct me i'm wrong but there's usually a hyphen between "City" and "designated"
- An endash or a hyphen would be appropriate if it were the city doing the designating, and the NYC government is sometimes referred to as "the City". However, cities themselves are not sentient beings, so I would say "no" in this case. This wording is akin to "designated landmark of New York City". Epicgenius (talk) 14:32, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- large lobby with coffered ceiling ==> "large lobby with a coffered ceiling"
- Fixed. Epicgenius (talk) 14:32, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- site
- Nothing wrong here. 750h+ 08:59, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- architecture
- At the third story ==> "In the third story"
- I changed to "on the third story". "In" would be the wrong preposition here, because it is referring to the facade. Epicgenius (talk) 14:32, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- decorated with well as wooden bookshelves what is "well as" supposed to mean?
- I removed this. It was added by accident. Epicgenius (talk) 14:32, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- history
- hotel on an 50-by-88-foot (15 by 27 m) ==> "hotel on a 50-by-88-foot (15 by 27 m)"
- Fixed. Epicgenius (talk) 14:32, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- critical reception
- Nothing wrong here. 750h+ 08:59, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
