It seems intentionally wrong information is published based on some random internet resources. Not all internet sources are reliable. Also according to later wedic classes occupation wise discrimination crated based on occupations. Original Hindu sanskruti treats all humans equally. Kindly stop misleading information.

Not informative, but filled with Agenda!

[edit]

This Wikipedia page does not give unbiased information regarding the Maratha caste. The entire page seems to be managed by people with a particular agenda. The tone of the article focuses on the rudimentary caste system. This article is about Maratha's, not Bhramin! Why can't it just be informatory?

If you go to the Brahmin wikipedia page, is it filled with information about their misdeeds? This stupidity is the reason why we were ruled for the last 800 years! Pitiful and pathetic! 2604:2D80:AA88:9600:50C4:7BD8:13C:6D90 (talk) 01:45, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Shinde and Holkar

[edit]

Shinde and Holkar, the former royal families of Gwalior and Indore respectively, are included under Maratha in this article. Neither family claims that status. The present head of the shinde family Jyotiraditya Shinde is happy to be called a kunbi, and the Holkars have always been proud of their Dhangar heritage.Yes, the cited sources may be from reliable sources but that doesn't mean that they got it right.Thanks.
