List of every course?[edit]
This is only a suggestion, but would it be a good idea to have a list of every course to appear in the Mario Kart series? It can either be in this article or a separate one. If this idea is approved, then I'd be happy to start it off myself. If it's rejected, then that's completely fine with me. SuperWikiBrother (talk) 13:31, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
- Absolutely not. This falls under WP:GAMECRUFT and Wikipedia is not a game guide. ThomasO1989 (talk) 18:40, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
About this article[edit]
I could see what you said earlier. We definitely don't need tables for characters and courses. This is similar to the Just Dance articles. Why is the page cruft? 45.72.206.128 (talk) 02:00, 28 December 2022 (UTC)
Characters and courses[edit]
I remember that users/editors need to add a consensus before adding new sections such as characters, vehicles and courses. How do we add a consensus? 99.209.40.250 (talk) 14:17, 9 January 2023 (UTC)
- I'll get it out of the way first that both the list of courses and a list of vehicles are not appropriate for Wikipedia, especially where we literally listed off every course in the series and whether or not they return in future installments. None of this is covered by any reliable source. Also, none of these courses aside from Rainbow Road have a dedicated article that covers their notability. For example, a course called "Moo Moo Farm" appearing in MK64 and MKWii, with no other information given, is only useful to those that have played the games and know what Moo Moo Farm is. Same for a list of vehicles. This is pure WP:GAMECRUFT. As for the list of characters, Super Smash Bros has repeatedly been brought up as a precedent. Ignoring WP:OTHERSTUFF, SSB differs in that every character has an associated Wikipedia article (or at least a link to the game it originally appeared in), establishing at least some previous notability, and the inclusion of each character is often heavily covered in reliable sources. For Mario Kart, most of the characters at this point are relatively minor or have been invented for Mario Kart (Peachette, Musician Mario, Chargin' Chuck, Baby Daisy, etc), have no existing articles, and generally don't make headlines whether or not they are included. ThomasO1989 (talk) 17:18, 9 January 2023 (UTC)
- Chargin' Chucks are from Super Mario World. 2600:6C4A:5A00:A68:92E8:68FF:FE92:BE1F (talk) 09:12, 16 March 2024 (UTC)
- And? Doesn't change the fact that it's an extremely minor character that isn't covered by reliable sources. ThomasO1989 (talk) 16:11, 18 March 2024 (UTC)

Development[edit]
The Development section needs expansion. How could we expand it? 69.165.146.227 (talk) 15:10, 30 January 2023 (UTC)
