The result of the move request was: Consensus to dab (non-admin closure) (t · c) buidhe 03:44, 13 March 2021 (UTC)
– WP:COMMONNAME is just "Mario Marín" for both omitting maternal surnames. The politician is primary, so he should be at base name and footballer disambiguated and linked as a hatnote. Ortizesp (talk) 01:42, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
- Note: This discussion has been included in WikiProject Football's list of association football-related page moves. GiantSnowman 12:34, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose as proposed and instead suggest the following: Mario Plutarco Marín Torres → Mario Marín (politician); Mario Marín Soto → Mario Marín (footballer); Mario Marín turned into a dab page; and Mario Marin redirected to the dab page. GiantSnowman 12:36, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support this alternative as well.--Ortizesp (talk) 17:22, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
