"Diplomat"?
[edit]I don't know if "diplomat" is the best single word to sum up who Ms Ourisman is and what she does. She was an ambassador for several years, was not a career diplomat, and she was evidently appointed as a reward for raising large sums of money for the Republican Party. She seems to basically be a socialite, although a 1993 wedding announcement in the New York Times said she was "a political consultant to the Republican Party."
