Birth date

[edit]

A reader/contributor asks:

Q: FreeBMD shows her birthdate in June. Is this entry correct?

A: Yes. At least, there's no reason to think it's incorrect. If Free BMD says the birth was registered June 1975 it means the birth was registered during the quarter that covers April, May and June 1975 aka Q2. Normally that would mean the birth took place somewhere between say 25 March and 28 June, though if births are registered in a more leisurely manner it can happen that births are registered in a subsequent quarter.

Excessive detail

[edit]

This is a curious biographical article as it contains a large amount of very detailed family history, but not that much notable information about Mary Wakefield's actual work as a journalist. I'm not sure what to make of it or how to edit it. I'll see if I can find any notable references for her.Seaweed (talk) 15:20, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
