Oddities

[edit]

I was able to look at the cited issue of Wisconsin Magazine of History thanks to GIMP. But I didn't see "The Artist Couple of Mineral Point" within it. On pages 28 to 41, I did see "Max and Ava Fernekes: A Duet in Paint and Clay" (by Cliff Krainik). Is this what's meant by "The Artist Couple of Mineral Point"?

YES. That is the article.

Reading a JPEG 2000 file in GIMP is a tiresome business, so I didn't read the article. Is it Krainik who says of Fernekes "He is the Norman Rockwell of Mineral Point and Milwaukee, Wisconsin"? If so, please specify the page; if not, please say who calls him this, and where. The reference has been fixed to say Krainik instead of couple

Worldcat shows nothing by Hornung titled The Index for American Design. Is the title right?

  1. 1. I included the Wikipedia link to the above.
  2. . I added his own entry in the work reproduced in the National Gallery of Art:

Do "Lampas, Texas" and "Lampass, Texas" mean Lampasas, Texas? -- Hoary (talk) 00:18, 29 March 2023 (UTC): Corrected. Thanks.[reply]

Thanks. I am old and not often on Wikipedia. Please put in talk anything you think is not properly cited and publish the rest. Thanks
