Relocated from User talk:Delirium#Wiktionary link

Re this edit -- how is the Wiktionary entry "unrelated" to the string meros? It's the wiktionary entry for the ambiguous string, and should be linked from the dab page. -- JHunterJ (talk) 19:08, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

(relocated from User talk:JHunterJ) This is the English Wikipedia, so generally wiktionary links to either English words or borrowings used a non-zero amount in English are relevant. In this case "meros" is actually an English word with several meanings (some borrowed from other languages), but Wiktionary doesn't have an entry on that yet. --Delirium (talk) 20:04, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No argument, except on your "generally" assertion. WP:MOSDAB#Linking to Wiktionary doesn't restrict to English words, and as both English and foreign entries are included on English Wikipedia's disambiguation pages as a matter of course, I think the Wiktionary link is appropriate on any dab that has a corresponding Wiktionary entry. -- JHunterJ (talk) 21:18, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No response was made, so I re-added the wiktionary link here, but it was removed again. -- JHunterJ (talk) 12:31, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
