Money bills are not appropriation bills

These are not the same thing. Money bills relate to finance eg tax, whereas appropriation bills are exclusively concerned with spending.Zymurgy (talk) 17:07, 9 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If this article is going to discuss the US treatment, it should also note that the Origination Clause is treated very literally: the Senate is free to take any House bill and replace its text with "money" language (a "substitute amendment") and send it back to the House, thereby rendering the clause a practical nullity. 2603:400A:0:7EC:0:0:801E:1C14 (talk) 19:31, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
