Sons

[edit]

Please can someone come up with an impeccable source that says Pratik is the son of Yadav's second marriage. Can they also provide a source that says Yadav engaged in polygamy (or bigamy, as appropriate). The existing sources are not clear and it is entirely possible that Pratik is the son of Yadav's second wife but not his natural son, eg: fostered or adopted. I am very concerned about breaching WP:BLP here. - Sitush (talk) 07:41, 10 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There is also no info about his 2nd wedding date. According to this, it is after first wife's death i.e. after 2003, he re-married. So that will make Parteek (born in 1988) maybe not his natural son.--Vigyanitalkਯੋਗਦਾਨ 08:41, 10 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
As per this source, Mulayam had a long relation with Sadhana Gupta, which was made public only after his first wife's death at the insistence of Amar Singh (so maybe he is their natural son who was not acknowledged till 2003). There are multiple sources like this, this and this which explicitly say Prateek is Mulayam's son from Sadhana Yadav nee Gupta. I did not find a source which explicitly says Prateek is the biological son of somebody else and not Mulayam. Gmcssb (talk) 09:33, 10 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Prateek Yadav is son of Mr Chandra Prakash Gupta and Mrs Sadhna Gupta (2nd wife of Mulayam). Therefore Akhilesh Yadav is the only child of Mulayam. Aakash Singh India

I am willing to remove the sentence "Though the alliance did not win the majority" with a citation needed tag since November 2012 because of this source: from the Hindustan Times. Please, discuss. HasibulAlam (talk) 17:47, 26 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Family tree

[edit]

I have restored family tree. I removed a few non notable nephews. Siblings are generally mentioned in the Biography. They are all involved in politics. Venkat TL (talk) 10:31, 10 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi brother. Hope you are you are doing fine. Thanks u so much for making that family tree 🌳.
I need some small help.
1. Kindly add Abhishek Yadav and Aryan Yadav, below Mr Rajpal Singh Yadav (4th brother of MSY). They both are son of Rajpal and nephew of MSY.
2. Add name of Geeta devi just parallel/ next to Mr Ram Gopal Yadav. Geeta is real sister of RGY. Add name of Arvind Pratap, just below Geeta. Arvind is son of Geeta.
3. Add name of Phool Wati, wife of Bachchi Lal Yadav and mother of both Ram Gopal Yadav and Geeta devi.
4. Add name of MSY's grandfather Mr Mewa Ram. Mewa Ram is the father of Sughar Singh Yadav and Bachchi Lal Yadav.
5. Add name of Arjun Yadav, son of YADAV AKHILESH
6. Add name of Anurag Yadav, son of Abhay Ram and real brother of Dharmendra Yadav.
Thanks and regards Aakash Aakash Singh India (talk) 13:57, 10 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, (1) Can you please provide some reliable source that supports this information? If Abhishek Yadav and Aryan Yadav are not popular politician, then there is no point in adding their names here. Only famous family members are added.
(2) Done.
(3) Phool Wati seems to be not a politician, so no need to mention her as she is not famous. --Venkat TL (talk) 14:18, 10 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
(4) Need reliable source for this information. Were they famous person? why we need to add their name?
(5) Aakash Singh India, is he a famous person? why we need to add their name here. Normally his name will go on Akhilesh Yadav's page.
(6) Need reliable source for this information. Were they famous person? why we need to add their name? Venkat TL (talk) 14:25, 10 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hi Venkat TL, Thank you so much for prompt reply.
(4) this is very important. It will help reader understand that Mr MSY and Ram Gopal Yadav are 1st cousins only and not distant far relatives. Mr Mewa Ram Yadav is the father of both Sughar Singh Yadav and Bachchi Lal Yadav.
(3) Yes she is not that important, but since u added name of RGY, it will help readers to find parents name of both RGV and Geeta devi.
(1) Just Google "Abhishek Yadav Anshul" or "Abhishek Yadav Etawah" you will find at least 20 news articles on him. Since you have added name of all children of Brothers (nephews), why to leave just one ??
(6) Not that important, but Anurag Yadav contested the 2022 Assembly election from Sarojini Nagar Assembly constituency of Lucknow and stood 2nd in his 1st election. Regards. Aakash Singh India
(4) Aakash Singh India Ok I added. But please provide a reliable source for this as a citation.
(3) seems to be unnecessary. their family is large, it is not needed to add all members here.
(1) because they are not MP or MLA, so wikipedia does not have their article. If they become MP or MLA then they can be added here. without their article, there is no significance of adding them here.
(6) Same as (1) since they did not win election, no article and no need to add their name here. Venkat TL (talk) 15:06, 10 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Aakash Singh India (3) Phool wati does not have her own article. Unnecessary. to add every family member. husband is more popular, so it has been added. Please do not edit war. Venkat TL (talk) 15:27, 10 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Aakash Singh India. Dont put 2 names in one box, looks cluttered. Please discuss what you want to do and why? This has been nominated on WP:ITNC so please focus on adding sourcing and references wherever missing. Venkat TL (talk) 15:52, 10 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Death in Lead

[edit]

@Shresthsingh71 details about death are not added in WP:LEAD. Please get consensus for your edits. Stop edit warring. Venkat TL (talk) 10:28, 11 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The death details are not in lead. They are placed at the bottom of header. Kindly refer to article Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Also, edit warring is when someone consistently reverts your edits, I’ve only improvised or edited the lead in favour of constructive addition. Instead, you misunderstood the entire scenario. Also, kindly check the grammatical errors you leave behind after making edits. Thanks and happy editing! Shresthsingh71 (talk) 16:44, 11 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Shresthsingh71 Thank you for fixing typos. Please see WP:BRD. There is no reason to add in WP:LEAD that his funeral was attended by many politicians. Venkat TL (talk) 16:46, 11 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Venkat Hi! Thanks for clearing your point. I added the summary that was mentioned in article. We’re all here for constructive editing, views and perspectives differ from editor to editor - they form the base of context. Overall improvement of the article is what matters in the end. Welcoming contribution from everyone positively is what lies at the core of Wikipedia. I hope you understand that there’s no need to misinterpret any edit from any editor in the first place, improvements and constructive changes to it are always welcome! Happy to see you here friend - hope that sorts out. Thanks x. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shresthsingh71 (talkcontribs) 17:01, 11 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
