POV OR in lead

I moved this here for neutral rewording and sources.

...however, that is plainly mistaken as many other townships were created earlier than Muskegon Township. It might be more accurate to say that Muskegon Township was among the first townships created after Michigan was admitted as a state.

What precisely do you find POV about this? It is quite plainly not the first township in Michigan. There were numerous townships organized while Michigan was a territory and the claim that it is the oldest is quite simply dubious. olderwiser 03:22, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
