A really well written article IMHO. I don't know whether you think this piece by Phil Plait would add anything to it. http://www.slate.com/blogs/bad_astronomy/2016/05/27/nathan_myhrvold_claims_nasa_scientists_asteroid_calculations_are_all_wrong.html?wpsrc=sh_all_mob_tw_top

I don't think the piece by Phil Plait should be used or cited. It's is a rebuttal of Nythan Myhrvold's claims about inaccurate calculations by the NEOCam team, but Myhrvold isn't mentioned in the Wikipedia article, and neither are the figures that Myhrvold disputes. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 03:20, 26 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Could article say how the survey/search will operate ? - eg. Will NEOCam look only/mainly in the ecliptic, and what range of angles from the Earth-Sun line will it observe ? Can it transmit images whilst it is observing ? - Rod57 (talk) 18:23, 25 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Suggest/request a brief comparison with NEOWISE

[edit]

Suggest/request a brief comparison with NEOWISE (now extended to 2023), eg frequencies, sensitivity, use for non-NEO work ... - Rod57 (talk) 13:54, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Launch date

[edit]

The source in the article says Sep 2027, but the official website gives a proposed date of 2028. Which one is it? Firestar464 (talk) 00:30, 6 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
