I will assume this nomination is made in good faith, but you might suspect that the nominator has not read the whole article, because the nomination is completely without merit. While the first line deals with the word in its dictionary sense - the sense that is defined on Wiktionary - the rest of the article explains the term in its historic sense. That means an exploration of how the office fits into the wider context of the medieval household, supported by reliable, external sources. This is encyclopaedic knowledge, and in no way the stuff of dictionaries. I see no reason to act on this nomination, and will await a second opinion. I will therefore remove the template.
