I see on the fund's Facebook page ([1]) notices of many projects sponsored/funded by the fund. It should be possible to find newspaper or magazine articles about some of those projects. Wouldn't such references be adequate? Hordaland (talk) 00:57, 29 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Certainly, provided (a) they cover the Common Fund in detail and not just in passing (b) and are not regurgitated press releases. Stuartyeates (talk) 04:58, 29 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
These?

All of these are text written by NIH Common Fund or partners, meaning they're primary sources, sorry. Stuartyeates (talk) 20:30, 29 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

DGG's edit summary: "suggest trying to merge somewhere". Yes, of course! National Institutes of Health has lots (too much?) on funding. This belongs there. I'll see if I can figure out how to set up a merge proposal. Hordaland (talk) 14:43, 1 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Hordaland. I should have started it in a sandbox. Are you happy doing this, or would you rather I did it? --Anthonyhcole (talk · contribs · email) 14:54, 1 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'll be delighted if you take this on. I've asked {help me} on my Talk page. I'll delete that. Thank you! Hordaland (talk) 16:03, 1 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'm talking to the NIH at the moment; they're going to team me up with someone familiar enough with the organisation's structure to create a logical article structure. I'll be back. --Anthonyhcole (talk · contribs · email) 03:23, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Don't delete NIH Common Fund

[edit]

I am a contractor for the NIH and would like to avoid a conflict of interest and not edit this page. However, there

A very helpful source for historical and biographical information would be this Science Magazine article written in 2014 when the program reached its 10th year.

A lot of budget information can be found on the NIH Common Fund's about page through the congressional justification links on the bottom left of the page. Each fiscal year has a report that was sent to congress with a wealth of information.

The archived funding opportunities pages can be found as well.

Some unbelievable science has been funded by the Common Fund. Some that already have wikipedia pages are:
