One of the main characters in James Gurney's book Dinotopia: First Flight is a Necrolemur, who can be seen in several of the illustrations. I don't know if it deserves mentioning in the article, but seeing how Necrolemur isn't particularly widely known, I thought it might be worth pointing out. 75.211.54.40 (talk) 20:37, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Note on content

[edit]

This article was (re)written by a group of palaeontology students and experts, under the guindance of K. Christopher Beard. The articles include: Saxonella, Torrejonia, Navajovius, Archaeolemur, Cantius, Stirtonia (mammal), Rooneyia, Adapis, Afradapis, Necrolemur, Shoshonius, and Victoriapithecus. If you see any issues with this article or the others, do let me know. I am aware that they aren't perfectly formatted (some of the references are a bit wonky), but the content should be solid.--Gen. Geography

[edit]

I noticed that there is no mention of the range, I was keen to know where it lived, and maybe where it had originated from. Even an estimate of the range would be nice. I don't recall any other species pages not having at least some mention of the fossil sites/range etc. Also, is this a possible ancestor of new world monkeys? I was researching the origins of new world monekeys when I saw mention of the necro lemur. I thought it was a possible candidate, or one of many? Thanks. 80.44.60.141 (talk) 00:00, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
