Good evening, I'll be your article reviewer on this fine evening, so grab some popcorn and enjoy the show Strato|sphere 04:50, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GA review (see here for criteria)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
    A. Prose quality
    • Try "The entirety of NY 239 was only 2 miles in length"
    • Not a big deal but might want to say "The Route 239 designation was replaced..."
    • "...towards downtown Alden" needs to be rearranged, two Aldens too close together
    • Is it Henskee Road that heads east to the County Line?
    • Eh, I dunno about the parenthetical.
    • What kind of filtration plant?
    • Dunno what kind of plant it is? Water, sewage, chemical?
    • Is the town of Alden and the village of Alden two seperate entities?
    • "The route became more populated" what does this mean?
    • Remove the parenthetical and rewrite it. I would say something like "the population density increased" or "became more urbanized." The sentence as it is reads as if the road itself becomes more populated, and I'm sure that's not what you mean.
    • First sentence in history section, remove "the route" from "the route stretched" after the comma
    • "beyond the county line" rather than "through"
    B. MoS compliant
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
    A. References to sources
    B. Citations to reliable sources
    C. No original research
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    A. Major aspects
    B. Focused
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias
    • Stating that the maintenance swaps were massive is a matter of opinion
    • Quantifying the size of the maintenance swaps is personal opinion regardless of what adjective is used. Unless you can find a source which indicates it was an abnormal amount, I'd just remove "large."
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
    A. Images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales
    B. Appropriate use with suitable captions
    • Are there any images to upload to commons you might have for this article, or perhaps a map?
  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail

I shall place this review on hold to allow for a reasonable amount of time for improvements to be made. Feel free to leave comments and/or questions! Cheers. Strato|sphere 05:56, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

the Maps Task Force is dead. Not much I can do there. All done with your other comments though.Mitch32(UP) 11:15, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I figured as much. Address the non-crossed out sections and I'll read it over once again after you do and provide additional comments, if necessary. Good work so far :) Strato|sphere 01:12, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Final ones finished.Mitch32(UP) 00:37, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I made a couple of edits and along with the work that you've done I think the article sufficiently meets the GA criteria, so I am going to pass it. Good job. Strato|sphere 03:44, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
