Spacing

[edit]

If discussing is an issue you should have put the reason why you wanted the spacing removed before doing it. Candlewicke and me who wrote most of the article are not idiots and i put spaces because the pictures were all merging together and making the article look untidy. So whoever removed them can return them to how they were cos im getting sick of correcting other peoples' alterations who come along and decide by themselves how 'wrong' other peoples work is. Noone owns articles on wiki as we all know but respect should be given to the main authors and if anyone else comes along and decides to add to an article great! But if someone feels changes should be made i agree posting on the talk page should be done first so i reiterate dont change the whole layout before suggesting it first!

Spaces

[edit]

Spacing was done for a reason for writers not contributing to the overall format DONT CHANGE IT! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tad102 (talkcontribs)

Please keep WP:CIV in mind when posting here. We are only trying to make this article conform to the accepted layout style used on Wikipedia. If the spacing was done for a reason, please share the reason so that we can discuss the change. Stebbins 01:14, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Expansion

[edit]

Please expand this article. There is not enough information on the internet about this topic. Please rectify this matter.

Deletion

[edit]

Do NOT delete it! It is the only guide on the entire world wide web to this show!

That's why we should delete it. Because if it's so non-notable that there's only one guide on the whole WWW, then it's not notable enough for Wikipedia (see WP:N). Veinor (ヴエノル(talk)) 23:54, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

But it IS notable in the eyes of many people! It is remembered by many people and many more do not want it to be lost, to be erased from the history books! It is ironic that a television series which was primarily established to educate children on the global environment and endangered species should itself find itself in such peril! There are sources available online which prove it does exist for the benefit of those who may not be familiar with it. Besides there are many other articles which have been allowed to remain even though many would deem them more 'non-notable' than this one.

It's not the only guide to Noah's Island, but it's worthy of inclusion on Wikipedia because it's a cult favourite in Europe. Many people have seen this great show and if it is deleted, it would be sad to those who remembered it. That was the main reason why I created this article in the first place, anything cult should not be banished from this kind of site. Movingimage 17:14, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. This show must not be allowed to be forgotten. It would be a crime to delete it.

I think it should be kept. It is an important part of European, animation and television history.

NO DELETION!!!

'Quote":That's why we should' delete it. Because if it's so non-notable that there's only one guide on the whole WWW, then it's not notable enough for Wikipedia (see WP:N). Veinor (ヴエノル(talk)) 23:54, 15 November 2006 (UTC)" What a stupid thing to say! I have seen articles far more unimportant than this such as the University of Maryland Athletics team! yet im not getting on a soap box demanding for this article to be deleted. Thats because i relise there are some people out there who are interested in it. Why dont you try creating or improving articles rather than trying to destroying them?![reply]

I agree that it should not be deleted. There is enough notability here. But it definitely still needs work to be improved, and there are some parts of it that probably are not notable and should be removed. For example, several of the very minor characters, which it even states are not important to the plot. AdventurousSquirrel (talk) 00:17, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It is 2022 now. Thank you for preserving and protecting this article. I would like to mention that the vulture named here as "Imm the vulture" is unmistakeably "Him", not "Imm". The squadron leader's accent makes it sound like "Imm". The name "Him" gives off a sense of reputation; he is a heroic male archetype. - Hugo Clarke — Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.58.220.94 (talk) 12:15, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Noah's Island Ep 10 - How To Be A Bear 005.1.jpg

[edit]

Image:Noah's Island Ep 10 - How To Be A Bear 005.1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Lost

[edit]

"It has also been asserted that the series is a prequel to Lost, and that it was Noah who was put down by Sawyer in Season 1."

Doent that need a source or something? 89.241.153.110 (talk) 13:46, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

CopyEditing

[edit]

I've done a lot of work on the Characters section to improve the grammar. I think it's almost to the point where the 'needs copyediting' tag can be taken out. There are 2 mistakes I left in though because I thought I would get consensus from anyone who's seen the show. Those 2 lines are:

  • Ursula- Some Kind of Bear, she become mate with Noah.
  • Morris- but he moved onto the island to join Sashu in circus tricks.

Are some kind of bear and circus tricks names of episodes? If so, they should be edited to show that. If not, then it doesn't make sense and should just be removed. AdventurousSquirrel (talk) 00:15, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well that was dumb. I just realized the page has an episode list and answered my own question. I'm going to fix that and remove the copyedit tag from the section.AdventurousSquirrel (talk) 00:20, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
