Speed Limit on the North South Expressway
[edit]In my 10 years experience of using the North South Expressway, I have observed that motorists generally follow the 110 km/hr speed limit (this speed limit applies to 90% of the expressway). But expect significant slowdowns during the holiday season such as the Chinese New year and Hari Raya festivals.
- You have not signed your post. Please do so in future.
- Further to that I am using this highway a lot as well and can see many cars speeding. Generally cars with bigger cc will speed on this highway. --Shorty23sin (talk) 02:46, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
Speed limit of North-South Expressway
[edit]Federal Highway route 2 (FHR2) can be considered as a metropolitan expressway, therefore the speed limit should be reduced because of very high traffic capacity. North-South Expressway on the other hand is designed as a national expressway which runs for long distances, therefore this expressway should have speed limit as high as 110 km/h. Nope,110km/h is too low, it should have no speed limit, much like the German Autobahn Ceecookie 12:42, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Plushighway3.jpg
[edit]Image:Plushighway3.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:37, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Malaysian Police on North-South Expressway
[edit]I would like to see this section added: Malaysian Police on North-South Expressway
It is a fact that the Malaysian Police is stopping speeding cars and asking for bribes. You can pay RM 50 or need to follow them to the next police station. I think this information would improve this article to show that this highway is not so safe for motorists. Especially cars with foreign license plate will be stopped by the police.
What do you think? Add it or leave it? --Shorty23sin (talk) 02:43, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:TNGcards.jpg
[edit]The image Image:TNGcards.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Inline icons
[edit]These look terrible, in my opinion. They break up the text and add nothing to the reader's comprehension. Can we remove them? --John (talk) 01:39, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
- Do you mean the highway shields? Isn't it normal for highway articles to use highway shield icons? Removing them is ridiculous, as most highway articles including the U.S. interstate and federal highway articles use highway shields a lot. - Hezery99 (talk) 13:38, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- While articles on U.S. Routes feature highway shields, they are in the infobox but not in the text of the article. What John suggests is removing those icons in the text of the article, which I totally agree with. The icons are awful, break up the text, and they do not help to enhance the understanding of the article. Wikipedia does have a guideline on using icons appropriately (see MOS:ICON). We can leave the icons in the infobox as needed. --Joshua Say "hi" to me!What I've done? 17:25, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
