Incorporation and amalgamation
[edit]Past research conducted at the Provincial Archives of Alberta indicates that the Village of North Red Deer actually incorporated on March 11, 1911, not February 17, 1911, despite the numerous references within the article advising the latter.
The past research further indicates that the village technically did not amalgamate with the City of Red Deer. Instead, it apparently dissolved from village status on November 25, 1947, and then was annexed by the City of Red Deer on January 5, 1948, instead of being amalgamated on January 1, 1948.
Should I ever make it back to the provincial archives one day, I'll look this up again and then revise this article accordingly, with references, if necessary. Hwy43 (talk) 06:05, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
