Split article?
[edit]Seems to me that other than the name, the 1902–17 league and the 1933–71 league are really two separate leagues that shouldn't be combined in one article. While the first league was reorganized a bunch of times and used a few different names, it was pretty much a continuous operation before finally disbanding in 1917. But the league formed in 1933 was a separate entity that just recycled the name since it covered the same territory. It otherwise had nothing to do with the original league. (It's suspension of operations during WWII was not unique among minor leagues, and 1946 didn't represent the formation of a new league, but the resumption of operations with the war over.) So this article should really be split into Northern League (baseball, 1902–17) and Northern League (baseball, 1933–71). oknazevad (talk) 00:52, 11 September 2015 (UTC)
