Notability Tag

[edit]

My reasoning is that:

  • google search didnt seem to turn up much apart from this article.
  • seems playfully written from the perspective of the band or a band member.
  • personally, i think it should be deleted. But i cant AfD an article (pretty much) so i decided to chuck a notability tag on it, with the hope that someone else would do it.

So that is my reasoning for placing the tag there. This situation should have been better handled both by me, and the person who removed the tag. I should have left a message here before placing the tag, and the person removing it, should have notified me personally (as courtesy) that he was removing it and state his rationale. On a personal note, i have learnt much from this experience, and will endeavour to improve my tagging in future. Best wishes to all. NB: I wont be rechecking this page again until someone tells me i have a message on here, so you might aswell reply to my talk page. Good luck with the article. Google is not the be-all and end-all, particularly for topics which are out of the mainstream or national news. That does not necessarily mean they are non-notable though. The bands webpage lists a few independent reviews [1] for a start. The two main editors at this article have between them written dozens of similar good and well researched articles. I personally have no problem with the style, which I see as being quite appropriate for this type of article. Besides, style is generally not a reason for deletion. —Moondyne 09:14, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Note enough rope.gif

[edit]

Image:Note enough rope.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
