Occupational Titles of Individuals Mentioned[edit]
I noticed when reading this article that some figures are referred to by the occupational titles they held at the time (e.g. Former Vice President Joe Biden), and originally thought I should update this. However, after not finding any guidance on this in the Manual of Style, I thought I'd ask more experienced editors instead. Is it common practice to refer to figures in historical events by their occupational title at the time of the event, or the latest/highest title held? Any feedback would be appreciated, as it will help me contribute to Wikipedia in a constructive manner.
