hello - this artist has asked me to correct numerous inaccuracies in his Wiki page. Because I know him I am not alloweed to edit. It is all wrong and needs badly to be corrected. Please contact me asap[, or remove the page. It is so inaccurate and misrepresents the artist and his work! For correct info you can refer to his website oliverleejackson.com. I can send corrected info - Why do people who are not accurately informed oversee certain pages? Where did your information come from? Several of your cited sources also got it wrong...and should not be used as a basis for edits. Redmagnolia (talk) 03:38, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This page has a RS citation re: this career at the CSUS;[1][2] as well as multiple other citations supporting his career as an educator (as well as an artist). If you have a WP:COI like you have already declared, you need to refrain from editing on that subject. If the subject is upset about what was written about him in citations - why wouldn't he be contacting the publishers? PigeonChickenFish (talk) 23:47, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oliver Jackson taught and lectured in Art, Philosophy, and Pan African Humanities, and was a Curriculum Consultant for the creation of programs in Pan African Studies. He was Art Instructor at St. Louis Community College (1964-67); Curriculum Specialist and Lecturer at Southern Illinois University (1967-69), and lectured on philosophy and aesthetics of African peoples; Assistant Professor of Art, Washington University, St. Louis (1967-69); and Associate Professor of Afro-American Studies, Oberlin College OH (1969-70). He relocated to California in 1971 to teach in the art department at California State University, Sacramento, where he also developed a curriculum for Pan African Studies and lectured in Pan African Humanities. Jackson continued as Professor of Art at CSU Sacramento until his retirement in 2002.
