Better Picture

[edit]

Is there some place where we can find a better picture of West? The portrait as it stands looks pixely. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.100.48.231 (talk) 19:13, 12 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Prohibition and Copperfield

[edit]

I think these two issues are best treated in separate paragraphs (although there is of course a connection.) Gov. West was responding to a petition signed by well over half the citizens of Copperfield, and was seeking to shut down saloons that were violating the law and owned by public officials, not simply saloons per se. I think it would be fair to describe this as a governor's attempt to establish the rule of law, and of a politician's knack for grabbing a headline, as much as an indication of his fervent opposition to alcohol. -Pete (talk) 06:03, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
