Early History[edit]

I noticed that the Otis section was just a copy and paste from his official bio, so I removed it. The same with Baby (although I'm not sure that was cut and paste). If you modify it to your own words, then it can be posted. Thanks.--CyberGhostface 19:48, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Groucho Marx[edit]

There is no mention that Otis B. Driftwood is also a Groucho Marx character from the film A Night at the Opera. Bob Sheep 19:46, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely. This article should be moved to Otis B. Driftwood (Rob Zombie character) or something, no? Mvuijlst 16:32, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Groucho did it first, and in a much more popular and successful movie which will be remembered long after everything Rob Zombie has touched is forgotten, thus this section is inaccurate and inappropriate. Gmerin (talk) 15:46, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I actually made it originally "Otis B. Driftwood (Rob Zombie)" but because there was no such Groucho article it was later moved to this one.
As for which one is more notable or popular that is entirely POV. Neither are household names, and if you asked fans of either genre you're likely to get different responses. (Although google searches seem to be pretty even, and if you search for either "Otis B. Driftwood" or just "Otis Driftwood" on google images, the ratio of Zombie to Marx images is significantly higher, even if you exclude the wiki-related pages...Searches for "Captain Spaulding" also turn up similar results.)--CyberGhostface (talk) 16:25, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That could probably be quite easily be explained by photography not being half as widespread as it is now when Marx was doing A Night at the Opera. --J.StuartClarke (talk) 18:00, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Not necessarily. Even if there aren't as many photos available (and its not like there are tons for Rejects either...it wasn't exactly a major big-budget blockbuster) there could still be more pages with photos.--CyberGhostface (talk) 18:40, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Anyway, regardless of numbers of photographs, I've added a disambiguation link at the top of the page to A Night at the Opera, to help with the confusion. --J.StuartClarke (talk) 11:44, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
