Merge

[edit]

Heparin-coated blood oxygenator and this article seem obvious candidates for a merge, or some sort of reorganization, anyway. At the moment the article with the more specific title is much more detailed, which seems unbalanced, but it's also tagged NPOV. 208.76.104.133 21:04, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've done a major re-write of "membrane oxygenator" - Perhaps this page can be expanded upon and then cross reference to the sub-sets of oxygenators, particularly the bubble, membrane, and intravascular oxygenator. --155.69.5.236 (talk) 06:56, 19 November 2007 (UTC)(Alastair Ritchie, Ph.D.)[reply]

Other applications?

[edit]

I came here looking for information about oxygenators for commercial fish farms. Is the concept of an oxygenator more general, with multiple applications? Or am I using the wrong word? If the former, I'd suggest generalizing the article.

On my machine, Google's first hit (it isn't an ad) is for a fish tank oxygenator supplier, followed by this wikipedia page. To me, this suggests that the fish tank application is that for which most people are searching. Just a thought. Share and enjoy! Marupio (talk) 18:09, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As a gardener, this first thought about Oxygenator was a plant that is sold or grown in a pond.DavidAnstiss (talk) 20:51, 9 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Photo

[edit]

This article needs a photo of an oxygenator. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 03:44, 29 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
