The Los Angeles Evening Express reported a fight involving Childs in July 1896 which is after Ozro W Childs death in 1890. Childs did have a son he named Ozro William Childs Jr. who was born 2 Apr 1865. This suggests the son was the person cited in the newspaper in 1896. Childs Jr. was buried in Cavalry Cemetery in Los Angeles. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/11212722/ozro-william-childs — Preceding unsigned comment added by Steven L Baughman (talk • contribs) 23:47, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
