The last paragraph in the article needs review, whether or not Pearle Vision actually "rips off senior citizens", it should probably be restated using more neutral language. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.124.170.165 (talk) 08:34, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
There are several consumer complaint websites citing Pearle Vision. Examples of issues on their Wiki were taken from these sites. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Valphoto (talk • contribs) 11:55, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
Just because there are consumer complaint websites, none are cited, and the wording of the last paragrah is atrocious and not neutral. Neutrality and Citability are the two #1 rules of writing for Wikipedia. The paragraph has been removed as it did not contribute anything to the article. If you want to write about their business ethics, do it more professionally and neutrally. That was not the way to do it in any form. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.223.21.11 (talk) 02:30, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
The Dutch Pearle Opticiens article links to this one. The problem is that it are two separate companies. Pearle Visions/Opticians in Europe is owned by HAL Investements. It is worth noting that Pearle Europe is in a separate company. http://www.luxottica.com/en/luxottica-group-sells-its-minority-interest-pearle-europe-hal-investments — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.87.226.12 (talk) 10:55, 26 September 2016 (UTC)
Ownership in the 1970s
[edit]“In the 1970's the chain was owned by GD Searle Pharmaceutical, not Stanley Pearle who was a founding father and board member.” This needs clarification. What chain is this referring to? The previous sentence says that Pearle purchased the 17-store optical chain in 1971, and the next says he sold it in 1985, therefore one would assume he owned it throughout 1970s. Did he immediately turn around and sell it, then buy it back at a later date? What is “GD Searle Pharmaceutical” and what is their relationship to Stanley Pearle? Also, no source is cited attesting Searle's ownership of Pearle, and no mention of this exists on Searle's Wikipedia page or elsewhere I can find in a Google search.
Further, the next paragraph says that in the 1980's Dr. Pearle sold the company to a British firm. If he had already sold to Searle in the 1970's, the company was no longer his to sell in the 1980's. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:601:E03:EBC0:7C0F:7B33:3E6A:1696 (talk) 17:30, 5 January 2022 (UTC)

Hello: I noticed the address of Pearle Vision's headquarters is wrong. They are based in Mason, Ohio: 4000 Luxottica Place, Mason, Ohio 45040. I can't make edits to this piece because I have a conflict of interest, but I wanted to call it to your attention. Thanks. SDH APR (talk) 16:05, 5 August 2020 (UTC)
