Copa Peru vs Copa Cable Magico

The Copa Peru is the Cup of the league. Copa Cable Magico is just the name of the Primera Division Peruana due to sponsor being Cable Magico Deportes.MicroX 22:42, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

Torneo Descentralizado separation

The current league is called the Torneo Descentralizado which has been in place since 1966. Maybe we should rename this article to the league prior to the Torneo Descentralizado (1912-1965, whatever its original name was) and make a new article focusing on the Torneo Descentralizado (1966-present). That way we won't have everything bunched up in this article.--MicroX 05:54, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Courtesy to non-Spanish speaking readers; not everyone knows what Peruana means. Additionally, it is not officially called Primera División Peruana, it is only recognized as Torneo Descentralizado or Primera División. MicroX (talk) 02:40, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

I understand that's what the request is, but I don't get how the sources handle this issue. How do reliable sources written in English tend to distinguish this Primera División from those in Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Venezuela, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Mexico and Spain? FIFA is the only English reliable source I know though I will search for more. The only way they distinguish these Primera Divisions is through a flag and the country name which is found at the top of the page. I just find it a little odd when some of the Primera Division articles have the word "de" or the nationality in Spanish (Peruana, Uruguaya, etc.). It's just strange. Look at the national football teams, none of the Hispanic teams say Seleccion Peruana, Seleccion Argentina, or Seleccion Mexicana. --MicroX (talk) 01:05, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

Comment regarding RM: I am delisting this move request, since it does not require any admin intervention anyway. It would be best if editors knowledgeable about the subject decide amongst themselves what the most suitable would be and make the move.
