A poor article
[edit]Gee this article is really, really terrible. The English is shocking. It is completely biased and unsubstantiated. Rusty8 (talk) 10:11, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
So help making it better. The TriZ (talk) 15:49, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- Well it's very long and fixing it will take a fair bit time and I don't have the desire to spend a huge amount of time on this page. :) Rusty8 (talk) 18:13, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
Well, if you start fixing it a little, maybe more people will drop in and help. I can try to help aswell. The TriZ (talk) 18:40, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
I'll try to provide some sources. Found this for example, [1], confirming Mexès turned down Ferguson and Man Utd. The TriZ (talk) 11:10, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
[2], Mexes controversially move to Roma, resulting in a Roma one-year transfer ban + 4,7 mln euro in compensation to Auxerre. The TriZ (talk) 11:15, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
Good work - the first article is great and could be used to form sections on his younger days. [3] <-- That's a decent one too, Zidane talking about Mexès. Rusty8 (talk) 20:05, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
Also, not sure if you speak French, but the French Wiki article is better than the English one. Could use some info from there, although unfortunately none of it is referenced. Just looking at the article now, I think it would be better off to completely re-write it from scratch, rather than edit it as is, because it is all over the shop at the moment and not coherent. Rusty8 (talk) 20:08, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
My french is very limited (even though I read it from 6th to 9th grade :)), but I'm sure we can translate some information. I see you point about the article not being coherent, though it might be alot of work writing it from scratch, but it might also be less work than trying to rewrite the current revision. Statistics, References
[edit]I've just added a career stats table. I haven't found stats for domestic cup appearances in France. Domestic cup appearances in Italy include appearances in the 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2010 Supercups.
Also, I'm trying to reconcile his Champions League and UEFA Cup/Europe appearances. According to UEFA's website, he has 49 appearances for Roma (31 CL, 18 Europa). According to ESPN soccernet, he has 46 appearances. ESPN has them broken down by season, which is helpful, while UEFA only provides career totals. - Slow Graffiti (talk) 18:17, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
- Footballdatabase.eu has his Coupe de la Ligue and Coupe de France stats. Those stats seems to correlate with his stats at an AJ Auxerre fan-site here, which is pretty in-depth. JSRant Away 23:54, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
