Two Barbets or one?

Here is the lead section as it stands:

Pierre Barbet (May 16, 1925 - July 20, 1995) was the main pseudonym used by French science fiction writer Claude Avice. Claude Avice, a Doctor of Pharmacy, also used the pseudonyms of Olivier Sprigel and David Maine. Several of his novels were translated into English and published by DAW Books.

Barbet (1884-1961) also advanced a set of theories concerning the Crucifixion of Jesus that are disputed by physician Frederick Zugibe.

It is difficult for me to understand how a person could be born in both 1884 and 1925, and die in both 1961 and 1995. I infer that the intent is that these are two different people. If so they should have different biographies, assuming they are both sufficiently notable for biographies. Even if they are not, it is not appropriate to mention both in the same bio merely because they accidentally had the same name. --Trovatore (talk) 21:04, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are most probably right, unless he was such a great science fiction writer to have been part of one of his own novels and have two lives - a science fiction version of Deconstructing Harry. I think the articles need to split to two people. History2007 (talk) 03:36, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
