General quality

The article has several problems and does not really present an up to date view on the problem of and methods for correcting Population Stratification. Lanamartinphd (talk) 18:37, 19 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A new version of this article is under construction!

We have noticed that the current version of the article on Population Stratification (Population Structure) is insufficient, as previously pointed out. For this reason we are currently working on a new version of article on the form of "Topic Pages: PLoS Computational Biology Meets Wikipedia". For detailed information about Topics Pages see:

We intend to review the basics of Population Stratification as well as current methods for correcting for the biases incurred by Population Structure in Genome-Wide Association Studies. We will also discuss practical concerns and theoretical issues. We will also re-name the article "Population Structure" in order to reflect the most common terminology in current literature.
