Map
[edit]Someone should move the map a bit to cover the archipelagos of Açores, Madeira, and Canárias... I would do it but im a newbie... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.139.100.246 (talk) 18:51, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- Açores (Azores) and Madeira (Portugal), Canárias and Balearic Islands (Spanish archipelagos), Ceuta and Melilla (Spanish cities in Africa) should be added, and should be excluded Gibraltar (English territory) and Malta (independent country) - Sarilho1 (talk) 11:48, 18 February 2013 (UTC)
Iberian Union
[edit]How come there´s no mention of the the Iberian Union, when Portugal became a part of the Spanish empire, from 1580 to 1640?--Knight1993 (talk) 01:58, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
Portugal was never part of the Spanish empire, they had the same king with different titles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rockysantos (talk • contribs) 20:26, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
lede
[edit]- Portugal–Spain relations describes relations between the governments of the Portuguese Republic and the Kingdom of Spain.
This is exactly the sort of tautology disparaged by WP:LEADSENTENCE. —Tamfang (talk) 02:25, 30 November 2014 (UTC)
