Reference names
[edit]A concensus really needs to be made as to how these moves are listed. 3-D, Poetry in Motion, the Doomsday Device, and the Spanish Fly are wrestler specific names for these moves. These names should be listed that way on each wrestler's individual article. On this page, the moves should be listed by their technical name. For example, the Spanish Fly is a Double Moonsault Side Slam.
- If you wish to do that you will need to remember that those names are GENERIC names for the moves. They have been adapted as the name of the moves due to innovation and popularisation, same applies to moves like the Shining Wizard. If you change the titles you break all links to them so if you want to change a title you need to change every other webpage as well that links to it. In addition we don't list simple users. –– Lid(Talk) 00:49, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
- The generic names are how the names SHOULD be listed. By the other logic, "Missile Dropkick" should be listed as "Harlem Heat Seeker" or "Reverse STO, enziguri combination" as "Get Well Soon". It can't be had both ways or the system doesn't make sense, as it doesn't now.
An effort should be made to actually fix the links once the change is made, istead of simply reverting the source article back to a way that blatantly ignores this site's standards isn't actually getting anything done.
High Spirits
[edit]I think, since it is a move, that the High Spirits should be on this list.
- It's not a double team move, it's a move requiring four or five wrestlers. --- Lid 03:44, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
To be fair, that's not true either. The move itself is simply a "Double Toss". Listing the move as the High Spirits would be incorrect, but other wrestlers do use a two-man variation of that move.
If your refering to the Shane Twins move its not a toss its a Double team sky lift slam, and yes if you can write a reasonable desciption of that you can breifly mention that it can be performed with more that two wrestlers --- Paulley
I tried to describe Double-Team Sky-Lift Slam as best I could but I've only seen the spirit squad do it and never seen the shane twins do it. i think it should be left there but someone should modify the description.
- yea i have re written it and placed it under a title to fit format... and i have gone through and corrected links and formatting of the move list you changed -- Paulley
Combination Rolling thunder splash and Springboard leg drop
[edit]Combination Rolling Thunder and Springboard legdrop. Should this move be added as a seperate move or considered a variation of Diving leg drop / diving splash combo
- yea it really doesnt need its own section as its RVD/Sabu specific.. putting it in the legdrop splash section is the way to go ---Paulley
Double Missile Dropkick
[edit]I think that the section that mentions the timing of the move should be expanded. Christopher Nowinski didn't just injure his nose, he suffered from a career-ending concussion due to the botched nature of the attack.--HDC7777 15:05, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Shouldn't it be backbreaker and SECOND rope elbow drop combination?
[edit]The Demolition Decapitation always saw the elbow drop come off the second/middle rope, and should be named as such. It's common knowledge. If this is changed, be sure to also change the linkings on the Demolition and Demolition member pages. I'd do it myself, but I have a feeling someone annoying would just revert it and say "source?" 69.23.212.206 (talk) 22:38, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
