Settlement of Harlan's World[edit]

I've added a citation needed tag to the statement that "Harlan's World [was] settled via needlecast of stored personalities and clone banks sent conventionally through space". My understanding from the books - that I've read a number of times - was that the DHFs (digitised human forms) were shipped along with the embryos; indeed, it might even be understood that Harlan himself was shipped cryogenically. I recall no mention that the ships arrived and then the personalities were needlecast. Although this may seem a subtle distinction to someone not familiar with Morgan's universe, I would be interested in a clarification. I simply want the article accurate, and apologise if I've missed something in the novels that state the current edit to be correct. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Strolls (talkcontribs) 22:30, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Btw, DHF stands for Digital Human Freight, not Digitised Human Forms. I don't have the citation in front of me, but Broken Angels makes it kind of clear that the stored personalities of the Harlan's Family elite were stored in the colony ships and downloaded into bodies when the ships were still waiting for terraforming to complete. Remember, there's nothing on the planet to receive the needlecast. 32.97.110.62 (talk) 15:45, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think this 3 year old issue can now be safely resolved. Strolls appears to be correct, and I've changed the text accordingly ServiceAT (talk) 21:34, 11 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
