Merge2
[edit]OK, let's merge it with Bias-ply tire. i think merging will solve some of the shortcomings; plus the compare and contrast of perfect for two parts of one article. Gzuckier 22:20, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- First paragraph of article is incorrect/incomplete, radial tires were not universally standard in 1976, this only applied to specific models of some brands.
- For examples, see the 1976 Dodge car & truck data book and car selector. For some models like Aspen and Dart (see page 14 and page 40) bias-ply tires are standard, radials are optional). Even full-size Monaco had glass-belted tires (not the same as radial) with radials optional. Scott Satellite (talk) 01:11, 22 October 2022 (UTC)

Improvements
[edit]The NHTSA funded text "The Pneumatic Tire" [1] is an important reference to designers of radial tires. It should be cited in this article.
The NHTSA regulations governing basic requirements of tires should be mentioned in this article. [2]
