Is there a field that uses decay to achieve configurations that wouldn't be possible using the decay product, or to create something that changes over time?
(For instance, creating a synthetic ruby using 51Cr, which would (possibly, not sure if the concentrations of Cr and V are similar) change to a purple sapphire over a few months) Abramul 18:25, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
