Trancazos

[edit]

Only a few comments: trancazos were also organized/announced by the MUD and other politicians, and also before Requesens summoned one. However, Movimiento Estudiantil also protested against the detention of the 25 students, including the Central University, which included a trancazo outside the campus if I recall correctly, meaning there wasn't a cessation of the protests. --Jamez42 (talk) 21:52, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, do you have sources for this? If not I will just remove the inaccurate information. Kingsif (talk) 22:19, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Kingsif: Sure! [1][2][3][4][5] Here are some sources from May to June, but it should be noted that there were other protests, plantazos, different from the trancazos. Student arrest protests: [6][7] I'm also sorry that all of the sources are in Spanish, please let me know if more may be needed. --Jamez42 (talk) 23:41, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Jamez42: They’re great, the Spanish is no problem, they just show in my searches less than English websites. Kingsif (talk) 23:46, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Jamez42: Is the current paragraph all correct? Kingsif (talk) 14:36, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Kingsif: Looks pretty good to me. I forgot to add that there were also nationwide strikes, between 24 to 48 hours, during July, but they were essentially nationwide trancazos and the paragraph gives a good idea of the chronology of the protests. --Jamez42 (talk) 14:52, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Award

[edit]
Added what info in that article to "political activism". Kingsif (talk) 00:10, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I thought we'd wait 'til she actually got the award :) And I'm curious ... I read somewhere that she would be at her brother's hearing tomorrow, but the lights are out in Venezuela, and she was in the US today, so ... ?? How and where does she get the award? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 01:55, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
There was also the info on speaking in Washington. Will the hearing happen? No idea on the award, they exist but I don’t know if there’s a ceremony. Kingsif (talk) 05:17, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
My best guess is that the hearing will be postponed.--Jamez42 (talk) 10:37, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
