This needs a clean-up

[edit]

Places of interest are not important unless they are notable or exceptional in some way. Alot of this page is going to be removed or/and re-written to make it more like an encyclopedic essay about Ramrajatala not a guide to the resturants and Post Offices of Ramrajatala. Any comments? --Alchemist Jack (talk) 20:18, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think it needs Transport and Education sections. More about the 4 month worship of Ram/Rama, with some references! I have used Rama becuase it take you to Hindu God but Ram takes you to a different page --Alchemist Jack (talk) 21:55, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Name

[edit]

Does the name literally mean City of King Ram? --Alchemist Jack (talk) 16:54, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

History

[edit]

There is no indication as to the history of Ramrajatala - I am a descendent of Ayodhya Chowdhury, a zamindar who was awarded the zamindari of Ramrajatala after saving Nawab Alivardi Khan's life form bargis - it might be A BIT OF A GOOD IDEA TO PUT THAT IN - I would put it in, but Wikipedia tend to remove everything I write - here's a website: http://www.telegraphindia.com/1130315/jsp/howrah/story_16673021.jsp#.UUX2Hbtvs6c — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.12.145.54 (talk) 11:52, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
