Spelling
[edit]Should this man's name be spelled Reazul, or Rezaul? and Haque or Huq? The article text is contradictory at present. – Fayenatic London 23:02, 11 July 2020 (UTC)
- The Bangladesh Parliament's website spells his first name রেয়াজুল , whereas the other source, a news portal of unknown reliability, spells it রেজাউল . The first is probably more reliable, but there's no single correct way to transliterate Bengali, so it could be rendered as Reyazul, Rezaul, Riazul, Riajul, etc. His second name, হক, is often transliterated as Haque, but also often as Huq. English-language sources may be almost non-existent. [1] calls him "A.F. Raiajul Haque Chowdhury", but although they're very reliable for numbers, they're notoriously "creative" when it comes to names. Unless and until more English-language sources are found, it's really anybody's guess. For now I'm going to make the text consistent with the current title. --Worldbruce (talk) 18:28, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
