[edit]NPD wasn't just a neutron source, but a midget power station designed as a prototype of a CANDU reactor. Perhaps some other reactors listed here are also prototype power reactors? --Wtshymanski (talk) 02:56, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
- The SLOWPOKE were considered for powering military subs... so some of them can be adapted to become power reactors. 65.95.13.139 (talk) 14:25, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Research reactor. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20101021083431/http://www.wsu.edu:80/nrc/ to http://www.wsu.edu/nrc/
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20110621090313/http://www.iaea.org:80/worldatom/rrdb/ to http://www.iaea.org/worldatom/rrdb/
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

State of NRU
[edit]Since March 2018 NRU is in safe shutdown until it's decommissioning sometime in 2028[1]. Since there is no intention of restarting the reactor, should it be moved to the decommissioned section despite not officially being decommissioned? — Preceding unsigned comment added by NX\UR (talk • contribs) 18:22, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
Missing links
[edit]- I seem to have run into a disconnect concerning "experimental research reactors", "research reactors", and nuclear reactors. This began with running across the articles Chicago Pile-1, Chicago Pile-2, Chicago Pile-3, Experimental Breeder Reactor I (Chicago Pile-4), and Chicago Pile-5.
